New Bus Lanes on Fred Taylor Drive!
Find out what you need to know about the new Bus Lanes on Fred Taylor Drive!
Changes are coming soon to the Westgate area!
Auckland Transport is building bus lanes along Fred Taylor Drive and SH16 on-ramp for the new Northwest bus connections.
This work will begin 6th August 2024 and is expected to continue for approximately ten weeks (weather dependant). Please be aware that ongoing roadworks may cause traffic delays and extend your travel time. We recommend taking necessary precautions and appreciate your patience during this period.
The hours of work will be between 8pm to 5am.
This work will include:
Fred Taylor Drive
- Install Bus lanes in the west and eastbound directions on Fred Taylor Drive.
Fernhill Drive
- Allow southbound buses to go straight from the left turn lane at the intersection with Cabernet Crescent.
SH16 on-ramp
- Repurpose the left-hand lane of the on-ramp as a bus lane during the morning peak 6:30am – 9:30am.
